These terms and conditions ("Terms") for participation in the DAY ONE conference ("Event") govern the basic rights and obligations between us, NeedFirst s.r.o., with its registered office at Dačického 1098/15, Nusle, 140 00 Prague 4, Company ID No. 218 47 215 ("We" or the "Organizer"), and you, as a participant of the Event ("You" or the "Participant").
Registration for the Event
Your participation in the Event is possible only on the basis of registration via the Organizer's form available at: https://www.day-1.cz/ ("Registration"). By registering for the Event, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them.
The Registration becomes effective upon confirmation by the Organizer.
The capacity of the Event is limited. The Organizer is entitled to refuse or cancel a Registration and/or a Participant's attendance at the Event, in particular, but not exclusively, due to the Event reaching its capacity, a breach of these Terms by you, or cancellation of the Event.
The Organizer reserves the right to change the date of the Event, the venue, the program, the schedule, the format or other parameters of the Event. Such changes do not in themselves give rise to any claim by the Participant for damages or other compensation unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Recordings from the Event
By registering, you acknowledge and agree that photographs, image, audio and/or audiovisual recordings ("Recordings") may be made during the Event and that you may appear in such Recordings.
By registering, you consent to the Organizer and/or the Event partners using the Recordings for marketing, promotional and other purposes. Such use may include in particular publication of the Recordings in media and/or on websites, social networks, marketing communications and presentations of the Organizer and/or Event partners and other materials related to the Event and/or other activities of the Organizer and/or Event partners.
The Participant acknowledges and agrees that they are not entitled to any remuneration or other compensation in connection with the above.
Copyright
All content of the Event, including in particular presentations, speakers' performances, visuals and other materials, is protected by intellectual property rights.
Without the prior written consent of the Organizer or the relevant rights holder, the Participant is not entitled to take photographs, audio and/or video recordings, transcripts, or otherwise reproduce, make available, distribute or use the content of the Event. This does not prevent the usual sharing of photos or impressions from the Event for personal and non-commercial purposes, provided that such sharing does not infringe the rights of third parties.
Marketing Communications
If you grant separate consent to receive marketing communications during Registration, we may send you information and marketing communications regarding news, services, products and other related activities and/or offers of the Organizer, in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
You may withdraw your consent at any time via the link included in each marketing communication or by contacting the Organizer.
Rights and Obligations
The Participant is required to behave considerately during the Event and in accordance with the instructions of the Organizer, organizers and persons ensuring the operation of the venue.
The Organizer is entitled to exclude any person from the Event without compensation if such person violates these Terms, legal regulations, public decency, safety rules, or otherwise disrupts the proper course of the Event and/or the rights of third parties.
The Organizer is not responsible for items left unattended, lost or stolen by Participants. The Organizer is also not liable for damage or other harm caused by the actions of other participants or third parties. The Organizer is not liable for harm arising as a result of extraordinary circumstances that could not reasonably have been foreseen or prevented.
The Participant is liable for any damage caused to the Organizer, the venue operator and/or third parties as a result of a breach of legal regulations or these Terms. If the Organizer incurs damage and/or an obligation to compensate a third party as a result of the Participant's actions, the Participant undertakes to indemnify the Organizer for such damage.
Final Provisions
The content of the Event or parts thereof may be confidential or non-public.
The opinions and outputs presented are of a general professional nature and do not constitute individual advice for any specific case.
The Participant undertakes to handle the content of the Event in compliance with applicable legal regulations, professional ethics and the principles of responsible use of AI and to refrain from conduct that could damage the reputation of the Organizer, partners, speakers or other participants.
These Terms and any legal relations between you and the Organizer shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. The competent courts of the Czech Republic shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between you and the Organizer.
The Organizer is entitled to unilaterally amend or supplement these Terms.
If tickets for the Event are provided through a third party, the terms and conditions of such provider shall apply in addition to these Terms. In matters of payment, invoicing and possible ticket refunds, the terms of the relevant provider shall prevail.
